Welcome to Our Online DBT Skills Community!

Learn DBT skills and gain support from a DBT therapist, a DBT grad, and others on their DBT journey.

Our Offerings

Hi, I am Alicia Paz M.A and my passion since Graduate School is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). This community seeks to provide support for those learning DBT skills from both peers as well as myself and my Mental Health Program Manager Kat, a DBT graduate. The community is a safe place for all and is well-moderated.

Our live group program features a 75-minute live weekly DBT skills training group similar to in-person DBT groups. The program includes all 4 DBT modules of skills in self-paced video content as well. You also get access to monthly 1-on-1 sessions with myself or Kat. We also have an exclusively self-paced program too.

I hope you join us in learning and helping one another through the struggles and celebrating successes.

Why You Should Join Us

DBT is my passion, and my goal is to make DBT both accessible and fun. This is a place to share with others and grow using DBT skills. We offer a lot to learn and a ton of support from other DBT students as well as myself and Kat, our resident DBT graduate. My goal is to help you learn and I will be available to guide you along the way.

We're now offering our new lower pricing to make our DBT skills group even more accessible. Our monthly plan is $250 for 6 payments, the length of the course or commit to a one-time payment of $1100. These prices are fixed no matter if you join early between the dates that group opens for new students!

About Us

"Helping others isn't a chore; it is one of the greatest gifts there is." -Liya Kebede

Alicia Paz’s professional Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) journey began in 2010 when she received her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. Alicia has helped those struggling with mental health issues in prison, jail, outpatient, and community settings but her passion lies in making DBT coping skills more accessible to the general public. The therapy program suffers from long wait-lists and insurance complications which often make it difficult for patients to access. She seeks to improve this situation through her public DBT skills courses.

In 2013, Alicia created an online DBT course, the first of its kind to offer all modules for self-paced education as well as individual skills coaching. Through the program, she has brought DBT coping skills to over 9,500 students in 119 countries. In August 2020, Alicia expanded her DBT offerings by launching a community DBT platform that adds live group sessions to the courses and skills coaching.

Alicia is always happy to answer questions and replies to every message within 24-48 hours. Her goal continues to be assisting people worldwide in learning these life-changing skills.

Kat (they/she) is Online DBT Skills' Program Manager. She performs administrative support, manages social media and co-facilitates live sessions with Alicia. Kat completed a DBT program in 2015 while on leave from college. They were extremely willful at first but once they leaned in, DBT changed their life. Kat also wrote and updated the content for the newly updated www.DBTSelfHelp.com. She lives in LA with her partner, their cat Bug, and so many plants.

Please join Alicia Paz, Kat, and their many other students in your DBT journey!
